My syrian lady's are between 180-230 as adult, so pretty big. My males are normaly between 150-190. The guinea's here are around 800-1000. All huge

No no, it aren't campbells, most not even hybride. The black ones are maybe hybride, but opinions about that are different. The WW's are between 60-100 gram here, the whole line is huge :)

They are not campbells? wow.. i thought it was campbells for a moment until i saw your reply..
Winterwhites have red eyes too? thats something new.... + i didn't know they can have other colours beside the common ones in singapore..
Thanks for sharing the pictures! :D Interesting !

I think different region/country have different naming convention for them.. What's known in Europe may not be the same in Asia....

Last weeks a lot of ww's loose weight, cause of the winter. It was under 0 degrees for almost 8 weeks. But in summer they come weight again. In the summer it's around 25 degrees max here.

At the moment I feed the last bit of Prestige hamster nature and then I will change to JR-farm hamsterschmaus. But even when you just feed 'labfood' they become that heavy.

Hello Bellisimo! :)

I think your mentioned colors of Winter Whites ARE hybrids. I also know Martin Braak and he definitely wrote that most of the colors are from crossbreeding with Campbells.
yellow-agouti RE: Martin Braak wrote: "De Geel-wildkleur roodoog is eigenlijk geen spontane kleurmutatie geweest, maar is ontstaan uit een kruising met een Campbelli en een Russische dwerghamster." So it is hybrid.
yellow blue fawn: Martin Braak wrote: "Geel Blue-fawn is de combinatie tussen Geel-wildkleur roodoog en Blauw-wildkleur." So it is also hybrid.
These are only two examples, so please don't think the Winter White has such a color-variety like Campbells, too. ;)

So, Tsuruya19, known genmutations on Winter Whites in Germany and also other countries are:
Agouti AA
Saphir dd
Pearl PePe (which is a pattern which can occur to all colors)
Merle Meme (which is also a pattern which can occur to all colors)
Mandarin Mama (which is so diabetic-sensitive that also dutch breeders stop these color)
Camel ddMama (combination of Saphir and Mandarin).

I think the names are different in some countries, but the genetic code not, right?

Love,
Linda
